The headphones have also been tested by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) according to the standard S 3.19-1974. The box of the headphones has an EPA label on them which gives you more information about noise levels. It also states the NRR on the box.
In noisy environments, these headphones work well to adequately reduce noise and protect your hearing from loud sounds as high as 95 dBA. The design of the ear cups does a good job of sealing off your ears. The headphones are good noise blockers for everyday noise. You also have the option of a wired connection with the 3M WorkTunes Connect. The cable is sold separately. You can use the wired connection and still receive phone calls via the Bluetooth function. The wired connection gets muted, and you can use the control button to answer the phone call. Once the call ends, it will automatically go back to the wired connection. The control button allows you to switch between the Bluetooth connection and the wired connection.
The headset comes with a built-in microphone. The microphone is activated when a call is coming through. Your audio will automatically be paused. The functionality is simple. To accept the call, press the power button once, and to reject the call, press the power button twice. Noise reduction is not implemented when using the microphone.
