The Kenmore Ultimate Care Platinum and Kenmore Ultimate Care with Bluetooth are top-of-the-line ranges with great features. However, these ranges are locked from the factory and cannot be unlocked by the owner.

The issue has been reported across multiple versions of the device and models of the oven, meaning that this is a widespread issue.

The process involves two separate steps. The first step involves installing a piece of software that can unlock the device; however, it can cause issues on some models of ovens which will require users to contact technical support to get it working again.

After unlocking the device, users can install different operating systems without losing their settings or customizations made on the device itself. This means that if users want to use different operating systems, they only need to follow this one process once instead of having to repeat it each time they switch between different devices or operating systems.

The second step involves rooting the device and installing a custom recovery that can then be used to install different operating systems.

Rooting will allow users to gain access to more system files and applications than they would otherwise have, but it will also make the device vulnerable to malware attacks. The risk of malware is not worth the risk of getting a newer operating system or other features.

Therefore, root should only be done by users who are extremely comfortable with their devices and have experience with rooting.

A quick note on unrooting: This is possible, but it is not as simple as uninstalling an application or trying to delete files from the device. This process involves using an application called “Recovery” which must be installed on the device before root access can be gained.

Once rooted, users will still need to use the Recovery app in order to unroot the device again. However, this process is much easier than unrooting which requires unlocking a new bootloader and flashing a new ROM which may or may not work properly.

For this guide, we will be using the Samsung Galaxy S5 as an example. The same process can be used for other devices, but it may be more difficult to complete and some parts may differ.

There are many ways to unlock a device and root a device. However, some methods require extensive knowledge of the device and programming languages which may not be practical for all users.
