A door switch is located near the top of the dishwasher door and it has a blue button that controls the operation of the door switches on your Thermador Dishwasher.

If this button is broken or stuck, then it can stop working properly and cause other problems in your machine.

The following steps will help you to reset the Thermador dishwasher door switch. You will need a screwdriver.

  1. Turn off the water supply to your dishwasher and disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Disconnect the dishwasher from the water supply by removing the clamps from both ends of the hose that connects it to your water supply line.
  3. Set aside a small container for all of the parts that you will be removing and put them in there for now.
  4. Turn off your Thermador Dishwasher and open it up.
  5. Disconnect any wires connected to your Thermador Dishwasher’s door switch and remove any screws holding down any components that are in place on top of it, such as switches, lights, etc.
  6. Pull up on any wiring connections near your door switch with a pair of pliers and disconnect them from the circuit board.
  7. Remove any screws holding down the blue door switch button on your Thermador Dishwasher.
  8. Pull up on the wiring connections near your door switch with a pair of pliers and disconnect them from the circuit board.
  9. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open or lift up the plastic tabs that are located at each side of your dishwasher’s door switch.
  10. Set aside all of these parts that you have removed so that you can put them back when you are finished with this process (including all of those parts that you have set aside).
